Cupertino’s agenda should be guided by a vision for success, not reactive decision-making or special interest lobbying. Tracy brings the strategic focus needed to create a safe, vibrant future for Cupertino:
Focus resources on initiatives that benefit the broader community, rather than a select few: invest in our parks and trails, faster permitting for home repairs and remodels, and stronger partnerships with our excellent local schools.
Restore public safety as a top priority. Strengthen crime prevention, reduce risk to our wildfire-prone areas, and ensure smooth, safe commutes.
Cupertino is losing retail while adding housing, creating a stark imbalance between residents and the businesses needed to serve them. We must protect retail through proactive zoning, faster business permitting, and support programs for existing businesses.
Ensure public spending is directly tied to delivering results, with evaluation relative to key metrics. Address Cupertino’s impending fiscal deficit by focusing spending and staff time strategically, without raising taxes or fees on residents.
Cupertino continues to struggle with one-size-fits all state mandates that eliminate control over our city’s future and create widespread community concern. Tracy will stand firm on supporting policies that strengthen local control – because we know what our city needs the best.
